What are the controls?

Press H or F1 in the game for the full list. With a mouse, left click places or selects, right click cancels and the wheel zooms. On the keyboard, 1 to 9, 0, - and = pick a tower, U upgrades, X or Delete sells, Space calls the next wave, F changes the speed, WASD or the arrow keys pan, and P or Esc pauses. Every key except Esc can be changed in Settings, under Controls.

On a controller, the left stick moves the cursor and the right stick pans the camera. A places or selects, B cancels, Y upgrades and holding X sells. Pull the left trigger for the build wheel, flick to a tower and let go. Hold the right trigger to call the next wave. The help screen shows Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo layouts.

On iPhone and iPad, tap to select, drag a tower onto the map to place it, and pinch or drag to move the camera.

Does it work on Steam Deck?

Yes. It plays on the built-in controls with the controller layout above, and the text is sized for the Deck’s screen.

Where is my progress saved?

On your device, in a folder named pocket-td: %APPDATA%\pocket-td on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/pocket-td on a Mac, and ~/.local/share/pocket-td on Linux. On Steam, Steam Cloud also keeps your profile and your saved run, so they follow you to another PC or a Steam Deck. On iPhone and iPad, iCloud keeps your profile, so it follows you to your other Apple devices signed in to the same iCloud account. Progress does not move between Steam and iOS.

The game asks which save to keep

That happens when two devices both played since they last synced. Pick the save you want to keep. If you are not sure, choose Decide later, and the game keeps this device’s save as it is and asks again next time.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. On iPhone and iPad the game is free to try: the Tutorial, the Expedition and the starter towers. One purchase unlocks the full game, with every mode and tower. On Steam the free demo is the same trial, and the full game is a separate purchase on Steam.

How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone or iPad?

Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought it with, then open Settings in the game and choose Restore purchase. The same button is on the screen that offers the full game.
