What are the controls?
Your skills always fire on their own. You move, aim and pick when to use your special.
- Controller: the left stick or the d-pad moves, the right stick aims, R1 fires the special and Start pauses. A confirms or restarts, and B goes back.
- Keyboard: WASD or the arrow keys move, I, J, K and L aim, Space fires the special, and Esc or P pauses. You can also aim with the mouse.
- iPhone and iPad: one floating stick on each side of the screen, one to move and one to aim, and a pause button.
Does it work on Steam Deck?
Yes. The whole game plays on the built-in controls with the controller layout above, and it opens full screen.
Can I play with friends?
Yes, on one PC or Mac: up to four players in local co-op, each on their own controller. There is no online play. Co-op runs do not count toward leaderboards, stats or achievements.
Where is my progress saved?
On your device. On Steam, Steam Cloud also keeps your stats, ships and progress, so they follow you to another PC or a Steam Deck. On iPhone and iPad, iCloud keeps them, so they follow you to your other Apple devices signed in to the same iCloud account. Settings and achievements are not synced; achievements live with Steam or Game Center. Progress does not move between Steam and iOS.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. On iPhone and iPad the game is free to try, and one purchase unlocks the full game. On Steam the free demo is its own download, and the full game is a separate purchase on Steam.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone or iPad?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought it with, then use the game’s restore button. It says “Purchases restored” when it finds your purchase.
How do I report a bug?
Email us with:
- what you were doing, and what you expected to happen
- the mode, ship and how far into the run you were
- your device and system: Windows, Mac, Linux, Steam Deck, iPhone or iPad, and its version
- whether you were using a controller, a keyboard or touch, and how many players
- the game version, if you can see one
- a screenshot, if it helps
