Last Ward is made by fakewaffle, llc, a Utah company (“we”). This policy describes how the game handles your data. The short version: the game has no account, no ads, no tracking and no online play, and it never sends anything to a server of ours. The only things that leave your device go to Steam or Apple, for the features below.
No account, no server of ours
Last Ward does not ask you to sign up or log in to anything of ours. We do not run a server for it, and it has no online play.
No advertising, analytics or tracking
The game contains no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking, and it does not use your device’s advertising identifier.
Data that stays on your device
Your progress and your settings are saved on your device. The game also keeps a random number for this install, so it can tell which device wrote a save when two devices sync. It is not linked to you, and it is saved with your progress. Deleting the game deletes all of this from the device.
Steam
On Windows, macOS, Linux and Steam Deck, the game uses Steam for cloud saves, achievements and stats. Steam Cloud keeps your progress in your Steam account. The game has no leaderboards. Valve handles all of this under the Steam privacy policy.
iPhone and iPad
The game uses iCloud to keep your progress in your own iCloud account, in a private database we cannot read. It uses Game Center for achievements. Apple handles iCloud and Game Center under the Apple privacy policy.
Purchases
On iPhone and iPad the game is free to try, and one in-app purchase unlocks the full game. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. On Steam, the game and its demo are bought and downloaded through Steam.
Links
The game can open its Steam store page. After that, the browser or the Steam app, not the game, is handling the request.
Deleting your data
- On your device: delete the game.
- Steam Cloud: in Steam, open the game’s Properties and turn off Steam Cloud, or follow Valve’s instructions to remove a game’s cloud files.
- iCloud: on iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage, and delete the Last Ward data.
Children
Last Ward has no chat, no online play, no ads and no account of ours, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date above.
