Effective date: October 26, 2026
Pocket 68k is made by fakewaffle, llc, a Utah company (“we”). It is a graphing calculator emulator that runs the calculator OS you import. This policy describes how the app handles your data. The short version: we collect no data.
No account required
Pocket 68k does not ask you to sign up or log in. There are no user accounts.
Data the app handles
The app keeps the files you choose to import and what it needs to run them: the calculator OS you import, your saved calculator session, any keypad skins you import, and which skin you picked. Files arrive only when you pick or open them. All of this stays in the app’s own storage on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
A full .rom backup you import can hold your own data archived on your calculator. It never leaves your device. To remove it on iPhone, open Help, then Remove Calculator Backup.
To keep track of the free trial, the app also stores the date your calculator first turned on during the trial, alongside the App Store’s identifier for that trial purchase, in the Keychain on your device. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
No network access, advertising or analytics
The app does not connect to our servers or to any other service. It contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking, and it asks for no permissions such as the camera, photos, contacts or location.
Purchases
Apple processes the trial and the unlock through the App Store, under its privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details or your Apple Account. We receive only Apple’s standard sales reports, which do not identify you.
Data we do not collect
- No personal data collected by us
- No location data
- No personal data sold to anyone
- No data shared with third parties for tracking or advertising
Your choices and deletion
Everything the app stores is on your device. To delete your OS, saved session and skins, delete the app. The trial date in the Keychain stays on your device after the app is deleted, so a reinstall cannot restart the trial; it holds nothing about you. Deleting the app does not cancel or remove your purchase; Restore Purchases brings back the unlock if you install it again.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date above.
