Keystar

Privacy policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

Keystar is made by fakewaffle, llc, a Utah company (“we”). This policy describes how the game handles your data. The short version: we collect nothing.

No account, no server

Keystar does not ask you to sign up or log in. The game does not send anything to us or to anyone else.

No advertising or analytics

The game contains no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Data that stays on your device

Your progress, settings, scores, typing statistics and best-run recordings are saved on your device. In the browser they are saved in your browser’s site storage for play.fakewaffle.com. We never receive them. Deleting the game, or clearing the site data in your browser, deletes them.

The web version

The browser version is a set of static files served by GitHub Pages at play.fakewaffle.com. Like any web host, GitHub may log requests, such as your IP address and browser, under its privacy statement. We do not receive those logs.

Downloads

The macOS and Windows downloads are served from downloads.fakewaffle.com, which runs on Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront). We have not turned on access logs for it, and we do not collect download records. AWS may process requests to deliver the file under its privacy notice.

Links

The game opens fakewaffle.com links in your browser. After that, the browser, not the game, is talking to our site.

Children

Keystar is a typing teacher and children can use it. Because the game collects no personal data from anyone, there is nothing from children to collect, share or delete. It has no chat, no accounts, no ads and no purchases.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date above.
